The Sinixt Nation Society.

This website has been created to continue the education and awareness about the Sinixt Nation, and to clarify the information available.

There are many stories out there and we feel it is time to tell our own.through networking and community support we wish to bring awareness about the Sinixt legal situation.

We believe it is our inherent right & responsibility to protect and preserve our ancestral territory from destructive and unsustainable hydro projects, logging, mining and all invasive development.

Our surrounding community members are welcome to join us and share in this celebration of Sinixt culture and heritage. Our living tradition.

It's true that a large percentage of the lakes people reside on the  Colvile (US.) reservation, they have also been scattered like seeds.

We act as representatives of our tribe's members south of the border who do not have access to their traditional lands here in Canada. Our members are unable to travel freely because of  negative profiling when crossing the United States-Canada border and there has been a response from Canadian Sinixt who where also displaced.
